On Sunday 2nd April 2000 I went to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre to see local folk artist 'Johnny Coppin' perform, in song, the poems of 'Laurie Lee'. The performance was based on the album "Edge of Day" (pictured above) catalogue number RSKCD 108 which can be purchased from Red Sky Records.

For the actual performance Johnny was joined on stage by 'Paul Burgess' on Fiddle, Recorder & Keyboards, with 'David Goodland' reading extracts from Laurie Lee's books.

The Line-up on stage was:-

• DAVID GOODLAND - Readings

I really enjoyed the performance and feel that David added some humor to the readings that is lost on the CD recording.
